Introducing Aerolase Neo Elite™

When I decided it was time to bring a laser into Face First Studio, the question was never if — it was which one. I have always been intentional about the technology I use, and I knew that when the right laser entered my practice, it would have to align with how I approach skin: results-driven, skin-inclusive, and grounded in real science. From the very beginning, I knew that laser would be Aerolase Neo Elite™. Not because it’s trendy or flashy, but because it actually solves the problems that exist with traditional laser technology instead of working around them.

Most lasers on the market rely on long pulse durations that allow heat to spread laterally through the skin. That uncontrolled thermal diffusion is what leads to epidermal injury, prolonged redness, burns, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and inconsistent results — especially in melanin-rich skin. Aerolase Neo Elite™ works differently. It uses a 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength with an ultra-short 650-microsecond pulse duration, delivering energy faster than heat can accumulate in the epidermis. This means the thermal effect stays confined to the target, inflammation is dramatically reduced, and the skin barrier remains protected. Rather than relying on conservative settings out of fear, Aerolase controls energy distribution at a fundamental level — and that is what makes it safer.

One of the biggest misconceptions in aesthetics is that darker skin is the problem. It isn’t. Uncontrolled thermal heat is. Melanin does compete for laser energy, but risk is not dictated by melanin alone — it is dictated by how that energy is delivered and how heat is managed. Aerolase’s ultra-short pulse duration allows us to safely and effectively treat acne, pigment, vascular conditions, texture, and aging across all Fitzpatrick skin types without overheating the epidermis. At Face First Studio, Fitzpatrick skin type is a risk context, not an eligibility gate. It informs how we treat, not whether we treat.

Aerolase Neo Elite™ is also one of the most versatile medical lasers available, with FDA clearance for 36 different clinical indications. This includes:

  •  active acne and acne prevention

  • post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation

  •  melasma support

  •  uneven skin tone

  •  rosacea and facial redness,

  • vascular lesions and broken capillaries

  • fine lines

  •  skin laxity

  • texture refinement

  •  enlarged pores

  • Scarring

  •  ingrown hairs and pseudofolliculitis barbae

  • hair reduction support

  • skin rejuvenation and collagen stimulation.

This versatility allows us to address multiple concerns in a single session while maintaining safety and predictability, rather than treating one issue at the expense of another.

I chose Aerolase for Face First Studio because I do not believe in aggressive treatments that shock the skin into change. I believe in repeatability over aggression, controlled inflammation rather than injury, and cumulative improvement over time. Aerolase allows us to define precise clinical endpoints, such as immediate mild erythema that resolves within hours rather than days, so results remain consistent without collateral damage. This philosophy is at the core of how I practice and how Face First approaches skin health.

We are also proud to be the first practice in the area to create custom skin stacks using Aerolase Neo Elite™. These personalized treatment plans strategically combine laser treatments with advanced facials, corrective skincare, and barrier-supportive protocols to address your specific skin pathology. Instead of one-size-fits-all solutions, these skin stacks allow us to move you toward your goals faster while reducing setbacks and supporting long-term skin health.

Bringing Aerolase Neo Elite™ into Face First Studio was not a business decision — it was a clinical one. I chose it because it respects the biology of the skin, prioritizes safety across all melanin levels, and delivers real results without unnecessary trauma. If you have been told lasers are not safe for your skin, if you have been under-treated out of fear, or if you are ready for a smarter and more intentional approach to skin health, this is your sign. Welcome to the next evolution of laser at Face First Studio.
